THE WORKFLOW CLINIC

One-to-one, time-boxed sessions covering file structure, backups, culling, editing workflows, AI integration, and AI profile setup.

Practical workflow support for busy photographers.

Most of us photographers don’t sit down and design a workflow.

We build it on the fly.
We add tools as we go.
We patch things together.
We promise ourselves we’ll sort it out later.

Somewhere along the way, we start saying “I’ll sort that in the quiet season…”

Except the quiet season never really comes.

Instead, we end up with:

Files everywhere, and you’re never 100% sure what’s safe to delete
• Too many presets, profiles, and tools doing overlapping things
• AI that feels unpredictable and inconsistent
• Always feeling behind, no matter how many hours you spend at your computer
• Expensive tools that promised to save time but now just add to the overwhelm

When your system isn’t working, it doesn’t usually explode.

It just quietly drains your time, your energy, and your confidence.

THAT’S WHERE I CAN HELP

I help photographers organise their files, streamline culling and editing workflows, and integrate AI intentionally so their systems stop creating friction and start doing their job – AI should support you, not replace you.

Together we’ll look at your pain points and set things up in a way that fits how you actually work. You stay in control of your style, your decisions, and your creative voice.

• No generic systems.
No one-size-fits-all templates.
No tech for tech’s sake.

Just setups that make your life easier instead of harder.

The goal isn’t perfection.
It’s less stress, clearer processes and more space for the work that matters

‘I created The Workflow CLINIC to help other photographers find balance and freedom in their work’

After 30+ years in the creative industry and over a decade as a wedding photographer, I’ve dealt with the same bottlenecks most photographers face: editing backlogs, inefficient systems, and workflows that don’t scale. Not to mention the resulting burnout.

Tools like AI only help when they’re set up with intention and integrated properly into a real workflow. Otherwise, they add complexity instead of removing it.

Most photographers don’t struggle because AI is ‘too advanced’ or ‘not reliable enough’. They struggle because no one has ever shown them how to integrate it properly into a real human workflow.

So things end up like this:

Profiles trained on the wrong files
Settings tweaked blindly
Unpredictable culling results
Not trusting your own setup

That’s what we fix.

Most photographers don’t need ‘more automation’. They need clarity, control, and systems that actually make sense for how they work.

WHY TRUST ME?

PHOTOGRAPHER | WORKFLOW SPECIALIST

Hey, I’m Lou. I help photographers make sense of their workflows.

I’ve been a working photographer for over a decade. Like most people, I built my systems on the fly, added tools as I went, and kept telling myself I’d sort things properly later.

Later never really came…

I was juggling backlogs, fragile setups, and the constant feeling that something wasn’t quite right, without the time or headspace to fix it. As my business grew, the cracks in my workflow grew with it, and most days were spent firefighting into the early hours.

A serious accident forced me to step away from shooting for a period of time. I couldn’t work the way I had been working before.

That experience made one thing very clear:

If your systems don’t support you, they quietly take your life from you, hour by hour, stuck behind a screen. Life is way too short for that.

That pause didn’t take me away from photography. It pushed me deeper into the part most photographers struggle with privately – file structures, Lightroom catalogs, backups, editing bottlenecks, and AI setups that promise speed but fall apart under real pressure.

Now, I work inside real photographers’ workflows – fixing what’s fragile and building systems that actually hold up when things get busy.

I’m not here to sell shortcuts or theory. I’m here because I know what breaks, why it breaks, and how to fix it properly, so your workflow stops costing you more than it gives back.

COMMON QUESTIONS

For photographers who feel slowed down or weighed down by their current workflow.

If your files feel messy, editing takes longer than it should, backups worry you, or AI feels confusing rather than helpful, these sessions are designed to get things back under control.

This is especially useful if you’re busy, juggling a lot, or feel like your systems grew organically and no longer fit how you actually work

No. Editing and AI are part of it, but the focus is bigger than that.

We look at how everything fits together: file structure, backups, culling, editing flow, delivery, and how (or if) AI should be used in your process.

The goal is not to add more tools. It’s to make your system feel simpler, safer, and easier to maintain.

Yes – within the scope of the session.

I’ll make clear recommendations and explain why they matter, but everything is adapted to how you actually work and what you can realistically maintain.

This isn’t about copying someone else’s system. It’s about streamlining and simplifying yours.

No heavy prep.

You’ll fill out the intake form beforehand, which gives me the basic information I need to understand your setup. That’s enough.

If there’s anything specific you want to look at, you can mention it there.

Often, yes.

Many people leave with clarity, a plan, and concrete changes they can implement straight away.

If it becomes clear that you’d benefit from more hands-on time, we’ll discuss that separately. There’s no running over, no pressure, and no upselling mid-call.

Yes, if they feel fragile, bloated, or hard to maintain.

A lot of photographers technically ‘have systems’, but they’re full of workarounds, exceptions, and things they don’t fully trust.

We simplify, stabilise, and remove unnecessary complexity.
